More NATO warplanes took off from the Aviano Air Base in the north of Italy on Sunday evening, as the alliance ordered further airstrikes against Yugoslavia.
The bombardment is now in its 18th day, and soon after the jets left Aviano, there were reports of a NATO missile hitting a residential area in Yugoslavia's second city of Novi Sad.
Bombs were also believed to have caused heavy damage the country's telecommunications system.
Six NATO planes left Aviano airbase early on Sunday evening, bound for Yugoslavia.
The U-S squadron was led by two A-10 bombers, accompanied by a Prowler, which is used to jam enemy radar.
They were followed by two F-16 fighters and an F-18.
The NATO bombardment of Yugoslavia is now in its 18th day, and following the U-S announcement that it is transferring dozens more jets to Italian airbases, the campaign looks set to continue for some time to come.
More civilian casualties from the conflict look inevitable after the Yugoslav media reported that a NATO missile hit a residential area in Yugoslavia's second city of Novi Sad, soon after these pictures were filmed.
NATO bombers are also believed to have been systematically attacking the country's telecommunications system.
Most of the planes which have taken part in the air raids have been launched from Aviano, which is the U-S Air Force's permanent Italian base.
