What an amazing couple Harriette and James are! Their wedding was a burst of colour and joy, set against the picturesque backdrop of The Robertson Hotel in the Southern Highlands. Built in 1924, this historic venue was the perfect place for this unforgettable celebration. Harriette and James booked the entire hotel for their guests, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere for everyone to stay the night and share in their special day.

Getting Ready in Style
The day started with the couple getting ready at the hotel. Harriette and her bridesmaids donned the most vibrant dresses, while James and his groomsmen wore light-coloured suits paired with cowboy hats. The mix of colours was stunning and set the tone for the entire day.

A Ceremony Under Clear Skies
The ceremony took place on the hotel lawn, under clear, beautiful skies. It was a heartfelt event filled with laughter, tears, and a joyous bubble exit that we absolutely loved. The atmosphere was electric, and you could feel the love and excitement in the air.

As the sun began to set, we captured some of the most stunning portraits in and around The Robertson Hotel. The golden hour light was perfect, creating a magical backdrop for both emotional and fun shots. There were champagne showers, funky sunglasses, and an array of colourful flowers and dresses – everything we love about wedding videography.

The reception was just as lively and fun. With multiple areas to eat, drink, and dance, there was never a dull moment. The highlight of the evening was the outback line dancing to country music, which kept everyone on their feet and having a blast.

STYLE
This wedding was shot using both handheld rig and the gimbal. We also like to emulate film when shooting, to achieve this we shoot a flat S-LOG3 profile on a Sony A7siii to preserve highlights and shadows. All colour grading is done by us in FCPX and use Dehancer Pro V2 for grain, additional blooming, halation on a Kodak Endura Glossy Paper print emulation.
