Speaking at the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Clarkson emphasized her commitment to her children, explaining that the role would require her to be in L.A., which conflicts with her promise to spend more time with them. This was the same reason she left 'The Voice' and relocated her talk show to New York. Clarkson, who shares two children with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, highlighted the importance of her family time, saying, "That's the reason [I can't do Idol]. It's my kiddos."
