This attack was aimed at raping and killing women who identify as lesbians and trans men.

Another violent attack at a shelter for homeless LGBT people in Uganda where scores of people have been turned out to the streets after being castaway by families and evicted by landlords.

Last night some members were beaten severely before nearby residents came in to the scene after hearing the bloodcurdling screams for help. This caused the assailants to shrink and scatter.

We can’t seek for justice at the police because by Ugandan law we are already criminals. What else are we to do?
