Polytunnel Anchor Plates | Ground Plates

It is important that a polytunnel framework is well anchored into the ground - Anchor Plates are the ideal way of ensuring your polytunnel does not lift or sink in extreme weather conditions.
Originally designed and developed by our technical designer, Anchor Plates have been successfully used for many years and have proven to be a much simpler method of securing polytunnels into the ground than the use of concrete.
This video shows you how to fit your Anchor Plates to your foundation tubes. The first step is to dig a hole 12in square x 14in deep for the foundation tubes and Anchor Plates. After knocking your foundation tube into the hole, a clamp is placed around the tube at the base of the hole and tightened. A plate is then slotted over the foundation tube and dropped down onto this clamp. A second clamp is then fixed on top of the plate.
When the soil is backfilled into the holes and heeled down, only the swaged section of the foundation tubes should be protruding from the ground.
