I've designed and constructed a new woodwind instrument which is a hybrid duduk (traditional Armenian instrument). The reed is modelled on a duduk reed but made from 13mm irrigation polypipe. For how to make one go to:    • Make your own polypipe Duduk  
The instrument itself is made from the Australian timber - Gidgee (Acacia cambagei). It is chromatic due to the thick walls which enable cross fingering. I'm playing a piece called 'Light in the tunnel' and I'm using a piezobarrel pickup - www.piezobarrel.com
