Michelle was the grand prize winner of the 2025 TSL International Student Competition. This year’s theme was eco-anxiety, and students were invited to express what it meant to them through any form of media or writing they chose. Michelle chose to write a rap.

At her school, Michelle's teachers allow her to create raps instead of traditional essays, so she thought—why not do the same for the competition? Her piece featured sampled sounds of falling trees and a clip from Greta Thunberg’s iconic speech, who has long been an inspiration to her.

We have put together highlights from this years International Student Debates which the top entries from each country were invited to take part in.
