You Should Be Masking! Lyrics by AMP! MASKS SAVE LIVES!

It started with "Stayin Alive N95!" & now this is my final disco masking anthem, another Bee Gees classic (You Should be Dancing) turned into a pro-mask song. I really hope that people get the message. The idea for Stayin Alive N95 came to me in a dream. After that, inspiration continued to strike & I wrote several more songs which I turned into disco videos. This one came to me after watching a Bee Gees documentary. When I heard "You Should be Dancing" I thought OMG I can turn it into "You Should be MASKING!" One by one the songs came to me. Disco masking anthems. A blast from the past with a message for 2024. I also recorded acoustic versions of the songs which are more serious and emotional. I think this is the last disco one because interest seems to be waning in my dance videos (also I'm running out of 70s style outfits & dance steps! LOL) Though it is a serious subject I wanted to have fun with it.
Months ago I started a Vintage Videos playlist with VHS footage from the 90s (I was on CityTV's Electric Circus several times & shared those episodes - I've always loved dancing!) With the world such a mess now, I've been feeling nostalgic for the past. I also loved the 70s & disco & thought of making dance videos for these songs. The acoustic versions are more serious & heartfelt. The reality is that Covid is still surging & most people aren't masking. They should be masking to protect themselves & others. There is no mild infection & reinfections are worse. Covid damages immune systems and organs. Everyone is vulnerable. I hope that people get the message and mask up. Unfortunately some places are not only not MANDATING masks but outright BANNING them! Because some criminals have been masked, some public places in the US are banning masks! Demanding that immunocompromised people remove their masks is dystopian. It's unethical. We need to stand up for the rights of the vulnerable. And truly, everyone is vulnerable. Even Olympic athletes can be struck by Covid & some have wound up with Long Covid. I hope the message gets through. Please check out the acoustic version of the song as well.
