These feelings can even morph into something called "imposter syndrome." Imposter syndrome occurs when a person feels as if he or she has only achieved certain things due to luck or deception. They often discount their own hard work or skills, and worry that people will find out the truth, which is that they are merely fooling everyone into thinking they are more intelligent or capable than they really are.

In this video, Nurse Sarah discusses nurse imposter syndrome and offers tips for nursing students and new nurses to build their confidence and to stop doubting themselves.
