FUNDAMENTAL POSITIONS OF ARMS AND FEET IN FOLKDANCE

*Fundamental Positions of Arms in Folkdance (Right)

📌 First Position – raise your arms in front of your chest with a little curve in its elbow.

📌 Second Position – bring your arms in both sides. Arms are in a T position with a graceful curve.

📌 Third Position – raise your right arm overhead while your left arm remains in its sideward position.

📌Fourth Position – remain your right arm overhead and bring your left arm in front of your chest curving the elbow a little.

📌 Fifth Position – raise both of your arms overhead.

*Fundamental Positions of Arms in Folkdance (Left)

📌 First Position – raise your arms in front of your chest with a little curve in its elbow.

📌 Second Position – bring your arms in both sides. Arms are in a T position with a graceful curve.

📌 Third Position – raise your left arm overhead while your right arm remains in its sideward position.

📌 Fourth Position – remain your left arm overhead and bring your right arm in front of your chest curving the elbow a little.

📌 Fifth Position – raise both of your arms overhead.

*Fundamental Position of Feet (Right)

📌First Position – bring the heels together of your feet in a 45 degrees position.

📌Second Position – move your right foot sideward or in a stride standing position.

📌 Third Position – position the heel of your right foot in the middle of your left foot. Or bring the heel of your right foot to touch the instep of your left foot.

📌 Fourth Position – your foot position will show the walking position. Step your right foot in front of your other foot with a little distance.

📌 Fifth Position – place the heel of your right foot in your other foot toes.

*Fundamental Position of Feet (Left)

📌 First Position – bring the heels together of your feet in a 45 degrees position.

📌 Second Position – move your left foot sideward or in a stride standing position.

📌 Third Position – position the heel of your left foot in the middle of your right foot. Or bring the heel of your left foot to touch the instep of your right foot.
