Barrington Watch Winder Review:

You can program these Barrington winders to perform anywhere between 650 and 1950 rotations per day.

Their rotations can be set to clockwise, anticlockwise, or alternating directions.

The winders rotate for one minute and rest for one minute, repeating this cycle for 12 hours. This creates similar conditions to everyday watch wearing, which is ideal for automatic watch winding.

Because the motors aren't totally silent, the 12-hour cycle allows you to set the winder to run in the daytime. Though the winders don't make much noise, this is helpful for light sleepers.

Conversely, if you have the winder in your office, you might prefer to run the winder in the evening. This will give you peace and quiet in the daytime.

The single watch winder comes in a variety of colors, while the double winder is only available in black.

These watch winders include an auxiliary cable, which makes it possible to array them. This means that you can have multiple winders running off of the same AC power source.

The double watch winder features a remote control. You can program each watch in the double watch winder to different rotation settings, if needed.

The Barrington Double Watch Winder costs about $465, and the Single Watch Winder costs about $180.

Though somewhat pricey, it's only a small fraction of the cost of a high complication watch. Hence, if you're looking to get a high-end complicated watch, a winder may be well worth it.

Although Paul Anthony doesn't use watch winders often, he finds the Barrington winders to be an excellent choice.
