A retired military personnel, Capt. Umar Aliyu, has called on the Nigerian government to take politics away and unleash the army in order to end insurgency in Borno and other states in the north east.

While analysing the state of insurgency in the area on Wednesday, Capt. Aliyu insisted that the Nigerian Army was capable of ending the insurgency but also pointed out that lack of needed political will to end the insurgency was hindering the activities of the ministry.
