Making Hand Built Ceramic Mugs Using Slabs

This is a quick demo showing how I use slabs and textured rolling pins to make hand built ceramic mugs. I originally saw this technique from videos by Jessica Putnam Phillips and quickly became obsessed with all the new possibilities for my mugs. Hand building with textured rollers create looks I couldn't achieve with a wheel. I'm also trying out a new hand extruder tool by Diamond Core Tools. I love the idea of this because I'm quite the lazy potter, and I hate pulling handles.
