To whom it concerns Rother Valley How much income does the park generate a year? Versus how much does Rotherham council put into the park to balance the books? How much are the current works costing on the Rother Valley site, new parking bays, electric charging points and the new cafe?

Who is funding this? When will the hire windsurf equipment be updated? No one can hire windsurf equipment anymore. Why was the main lake water level reduced and when will it be increased back to normal levels as this is stopping the cable water skiiing functioning.

The budget for the Rother Valley Country Park project is £9,819,834.

When will the hire windsurf equipment be updated?

We are not renewing windsurf equipment when the current equipment falls out of use, due to a switch in demand for other activities.

However, we will be reviewing our available equipment and offer in the coming year to ensure that we retain a wide range of activities for park users to enjoy.

Why was the main lake water level reduced and when will it be increased back to normal levels as this is stopping the cable water skiing functioning.
The lake level was lowered in February 2025 for the installation of the foundation base for the waterfront gabions to the new café development, along with the surface water headwall mattress. The Lake was lowered to the level recommended by the Environment Agency when the lake is not in flood during these works. Due to subsequent dry weather through the spring period, the lake levels have reduced further meaning the Sheffield Cable Waterski & Aqua Park on site is no longer able to operate the cable waterski due to safety reasons (insufficient water depth near
embankments).

Currently RMBC are looking into solutions to return the Lakes to normal levels, however timescales are currently not available until agreement is reached between the necessary stakeholders, and licensing is in place with the Environment Agency where required.
