Benefits of reciting Ya Malik-ul-Mulk (يا مالك الملك)


Meaning : The Owner of all Sovereignty , The Master of Kingdom
Explanation

The One who owns and rules all of the creation. He is the One who has the authority and power to rule, command and decide for the worlds and everything they contain.The One who is sole owner, possessor and ruler of all kingdoms. The One whose ruling power and authority have no limit. The One who possesses all authority to act in any manner, at any time, in any way. The One who is lord and master over all worlds, whether manifest or un-manifest. The One who has all mastery and authority to decide what shall be created, what shall be sustained and what shall be cease to be.
Quran

قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Say, "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. (3:26)
لِّلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ يَهَبُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ إِنَاثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ الذُّكُورَ

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males. (42:49)
وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَاةً وَلَا نُشُورًا

But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection. (25:3)
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent. (67:1)

Hadith

Imam as-Suyuti (رحمه الله‎) has listed the Ism

مالك الملك

'The Owner of All Sovereignty'

as the Greatest Name of Allah (Ism-e-Azam). Suyuti has quoted from Al-Kabeer a narration on the authority of Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) who reported: The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: 'The Greatest name of Allah is in these verses of Surah Aal-e-Imran:

قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Say, "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. (3:26)

Duas

يا الله يا الله يا الله، يا رحمن يا رب الأرباب، يا سيد السادات يا اله الالهة، يا مالك الملك، يا ملك الملوك، اشفني بشفائك من هذا الداء، واصرفه عني فاني عبدك وابن عبدك، وأتقلب في قبضتك
(بحار الأنوار - ج ٩٢ - الصفحة ٩٤)

يا مالك الملك ارحمني، يا عزيز احكم لي، يا لطيف ارزقني
(تسبيح ومناجاة ثنا على ملك الأرض والسماء)
