The Empty Bottle String Band from Johnson City, Tennessee got the Old Time music event started off right at The annual Exchange Place (Living farm Museum) Fall Folk Life Festival on 29 September 2012. The Empty Bottle String Band is a relatively new Old-Time/Americana band comprised of current and former students in the ETSU Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Country Music Studies Program. Three of the larger band performing here were:
