Genuine Leather vs Real Leather: Under a Microscope

Описание к видео Genuine Leather vs Real Leather: Under a Microscope

Top grain leather is the top layer of skin of an animal, preserved as a leather: the surface is often sanded/shaved/buffed/sealed, but the pore structure should still be obvious.

Genuine leather is really not leather, despite it being called that: genuine leather is simply leather dust/shavings mixed with polyurethane, pressed into sheets using heat to create a fake grain that lacks a pore structure, but looks like leather at a glance.

But under a microscope, the difference is immediately apparent.
