[former WR] DonPachi 首領蜂 - 70,072,730 with Type C

This video shows my recent private best and world record in DonPachi with Type C. It is the first time I have achieved a score over 70 million points, which is a large improvement over my old WR of 66 million set in 2017. The run was played on an original arcade PCB and streamed live on Twitch.

Although there are a couple of mistakes in loop 1 such as a few broken chains and an unfortunate bomb at 1-3 boss (no score loss), it is the highest I have ever gotten thanks to a perfect execution of the big chain at the end of 1-5 (294 Hits) - certainly the highlight of the run! I was then able to carry my capacity bonus through 2-1 to 2-3 and then finally died in 2-4 ending the capcity bonus here. Stage 2-5 went reasonably well but also had 2 deaths (2 million points lost).

I can definitely see myself achieving 75 million points which is what my next goal is. Such a score requires the 2-4 capacity bonus.

Routing this game and finding all the chain setups is a herculean task and not something I have tackled on my own. I have received a great amount of help and tips from the previous world record holders for Type C Ryu (2012-2017) and Ryogaeshi (2007-2012). Moreover, SOF-WTN who holds the record with Type A (currently 92,079,420 set in 2018) has been a huge inspiration for me as well.
