Street Fighter [1987] - 5CC Completion Run [15/07/24]

Even with negative edge and doing DP inputs constantly while trying to let go on the diagonal, it still can be a crapshoot to get the special moves constantly or not at all- and in the latter case you can always be at risk or getting three-hit combo'd by jumping kicks from the enemy [or Sagat's Tiger Shot], but uhhh yeah I guess I got lucky to somewhat figure out that trick to an extent.

Obviously, whenever you can get precise and lucky enough to get several DPs, the AI often crumples if not straight up dies by trying to run into you and your hitbox [see Sagat's final round]...so this is less of a real fighting game, most definitely in this scenario but arguably also in a VS mode setting [whoever gets the specials out first wins lol] but more of a...well...cheese-or-die game.

More so when, again, if you can't get specials to happen, getting jumped repeatedly is the most common conclusion, but as this run shows to an extent, getting those out repeatedly makes very quick work of the 10 fights in the game, leaving a very short game to go through.

If you want to know how worse this could be, below is an unlisted snippet of my run the day before this one. I only started recording starting from Birdie, but Lee had me stunlocked for 10 minutes straight until I kiiinda figured out the DP spam strat, crushed Gen, and then the recording starts on my first attempt against Birdie until Sagat, making for a total of 38-40 minutes approx on that run [and the Birdie to Sagat video itself is 18 minutes...the same length as this new run lol]
