Kufri is a small hill station located in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. The name Kufri is derived from the word Kufr which means lake in the local language. It is a very beautiful place. This place is famous for its natural beauty and scenic landscapes.

People can also visit many places in Kufri like the Kufri Fun Campus which is an amusement park where one can enjoy their whole day. One can enjoy rides, pools over here. There is also world’s highest go-kart track. This track is from Kufri to Mahasu peak.

People also visit Indira Tourist Park. It provides a panoramic view of the locations that are around.
Kufri is or rather was a sking resort (minus the hotels to stay, nearest being Wild Flower Hall). It is almost 1000 feet higher than Shimla and gets snow earlier than Shimla . Snowing however is nowadays unpredictable thanks to the climate change. Kufri is about 14 kms from Shimla .Many Hindi films were shot here. Growing up it was common for us to hear of a Rajesh Khanna , or a Dev Anand visiting Kufri.
