The powerful spark is the result of the huge amount of energy in a very short time made. For connoisseurs is that expressed in milliJoules. Most ignitions come around the 70 mJ, which is enough under many circumstances. But under difficult circumstances and they are stronger as a motor is tuned further when the pressure in the combustion chamber is much higher. Ultimately, the speed at which the mixture ignited determines the strength of the blow that the piston is pressed down. When the pressure is higher than 70mJ at a given time will no longer be sufficient. That is why an ignition made for racing should deliver more mJ. The UltraSap this can go up to 190mJ and also at 16,000 rpm.

This UltraSap Plasma Ignition is a prototype for research into the effects of an even bigger spark.
