finally finished on 27th February 2024.

On December 1, 2019, we met at my place to do something new. Greg had some new ideas. One of them was a melody based on melancholic chords. Suchy recorded the guitar first. I had chills. I told him about it and he just smiled. After recording the guitar, we chose a rhythm for the drums and I added the bass. The tracks without mix were ready. After a few hours of recording session, we decided that we would meet next time after the new year. Unfortunately, the pandemic started and we postponed it. However, there was never a chance to refine and finish it. After Greg's death, I thought that this song had to see the light of day, because after all, it was something we recorded together. I wrote a text that is a farewell and reflects how I feel after losing him. I recorded the vocal line and added some improvements. I finished what we couldn't do together. I think he was keeping an eye on it. I wanted to honor Him this way and say goodbye to a man who was a great musician, artist and someone important in my life, a friend. 1 grudnia 2019 spotkaliśmy się z u mnie, aby zrobić coś nowego. Grzesiek miał parę nowych pomysłów. Jednym z nich była melodia oparta na melancholijnych akordach. Suchy nagrał najpierw gitarę. Miałem ciarki. Powiedziałem mu o tym, a on się jedynie uśmiechnął. Po nagraniu gitary wybraliśmy rytm do perkusji i dograłem bass. Ścieżki bez miksu były gotowe. Po paru godzinnej sesji nagraniowej stwierdziliśmy, że spotkamy się następnym razem po nowym roku. Niestety rozpoczęła się pandemia i odłożyliśmy to na później. Nigdy jednak nie było okazji już tego dopracować i dokończyć. Po śmieci Suchego pomyślałem, że ta piosenka musi ujrzeć światło dzienne, bo to w końcu jest coś, co nagraliśmy razem. Napisałem tekst, który jest pożegnaniem i oddaje to, co czuję po jego stracie. Nagrałem linię wokalną i dodałem parę ulepszeń. Dokończyłem to, czego nam się nie udało zrobić razem. Myślę, że czuwał nad tym. Chciałem tak oddać Mu cześć i pożegnać człowieka który był wspaniałym muzykiem, artystą i kimś ważnym w moim życiu, przyjacielem. Oto jeden z dwóch utworów Gypsy Tree który powstał tego dnia "Goodbye my friend".
