Samurai Jack is an American animated action-adventure television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky. Originally airing on Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2004, and later concluding with a final season on Adult Swim in 2017, the show is widely regarded as a masterpiece of animation, storytelling, and visual style.
The series follows Jack, a noble samurai prince from feudal Japan who wields a magical sword capable of defeating evil. Just as he is about to vanquish Aku—a shape-shifting demon and master of darkness—Jack is flung into a dystopian future ruled by Aku himself. Trapped in this nightmarish world, Jack journeys across time, battling countless enemies and helping those oppressed by Aku’s reign, all while searching for a way back to the past to undo the future that is Aku.
