Sometimes you may need to use a slicer to change your measure selection. Like the case of period / year to date measures, you may need to present them on the same visual based on the user's choice.
In this case you will need to create a table with a single column to store your options values, then you can create a slicer based on this table and use SELECTEDVALUE function to capture the slicer selection. the rest will be quite easy using SWITCH function
