Austrian Toll Roads in a Motorhome - How do they work and what do I need and how much are they??

As we drove into Austria we decided to use a mixture of NON toll roads, but also take a few toll motorways to shorten our overall journey.

The toll roads often go under, or through, the Alpine peaks in Austria via tunnels rather than the sometimes steep ascents and descents we used, as the alternative to toll roads, which are generally slower routes.
