मोदी सरकार के तीसरे कार्यकाल में सहयोगी दलों का असर शपथग्रहण समारोह से पहले ही दिखने लगा है। एनडीए की अहम सहयोगियों में एक जेडीयू ने सेना में भर्ती योजना अग्निवीर और समान नागरिक संहिता को लेकर बड़ी बात कही है। जेडीयू नेता केसी त्यागी ने कहा कि अग्निवीर स्कीम पर फिर से विचार करने की जरूरत है। त्यागी ने कहा कि इसके साथ ही समान नागरिक संहिता पर सभी राज्यों से बातचीत की जानी चाहिए। जेडीयू ने कहा कि अग्निवीर योजना का काफी विरोध हुआ। उन्होंने कहा कि इस बार लोकसभा चुनाव में इसके विरोध का असर देखने को मिला।
