If you want the BEST for your dog…
I’m a dog food snob. There I admit it! If I had the time and energy I’d make meals for Pacer just like I do for my husband and myself. Unfortunately I just don’t have that kind of energy or time to devote to Pacer’s food so I’m a true stickler into reading ingredients on dog food bags.

It seems after the pandemic that dog food got VERY expensive for what you’re getting. I had Pacer on a limited-ingredient diet that I wasn’t “thrilled” with, plus it went up in price by almost 65%! Well if I’m gonna spend that kind of money on dog food then I’m REALLY going to look around!

So I spent DAYS comparing dog food ingredient lists. By products? No thank you! Peas, pea fiber, lentils? Not for my dog! They can bind with taurine which is an essential nutrient that dogs need. Meat meals? Huh? Like the Wendy’s commercial back in the 80’s…WHERE’S THE BEEF?!?! I actually saw a food where the first ingredient listed was brown rice, second was chicken and the rest were variations of grains and vitamins and minerals. That food cost $92 for 28 pounds!!! For ONE protein source?!? I was STUNNED!
