Lord Darroch Reflects On His Controversial Trump Comments | Good Morning Britain

Britain's former ambassador to the United States, Lord (Kim) Darroch, has attacked Boris Johnson, claiming he was partly to blame for his resignation after disparaging comments he made about President Trump were leaked. In July last year leaks to the Mail on Sunday revealed Lord Darroch, then Sir Kim Darroch, had described the President as ‘inept’, ‘insecure’ and ‘incompetent’. In the year that's passed since his resignation, he's been writing a book about his final five days in the Foreign Office, describing it as a “monster” experience, “The worst of my life. Like being trapped in a nightmare.” Lord Darroch, who took his seat in the Lords as a crossbencher in January, was national security adviser in 2012-15.
