From Flight Outfitters, creators of rugged, feature-rich gear for pilots. The Fly Before You Drive video is the fourth in a series that complements the company tagline: Pilot Your Own Adventure

About the video:
Ryan Glassmeyer grew up going to air shows with the Flight Outfitters crew. He was 8 years old when he attended his first EAA AirVenture https://www.eaa.org/airventure/eaa-ai... in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. At the time when he was beginning to lose interest in “cartoonish things” he began to gain interest in “real stuff ” like trucks, tractors, boats, and—you guessed it—airplanes. After attending his first AirVenture he could not wait to become a pilot. He was so impatient to fly in fact, that he wanted to be ready to solo ON his 16th birthday, the very first day he could legally fly an airplane by myself. This video / vlog is the story of how he made that dream come true, and the people that helped and inspired him along the way...........Full Story here: https://www.flightoutfitters.com/stor...

Quote:
“The more I hung out at the airport and talked to pilots about airplanes and flying, the more invitations I got to go flying with Dad and his flying buddies. It was not long before I found myself on the “breakfast run short list,” which included my dad’s flying friends, flying club members, and some of the guys from Sporty’s Pilot Shop. Soon it became common for me to meet at I69 at 7:00am before school to sit in the right seat in a formation flight to Urbana or Portsmouth, Ohio. After a nice $300 egg breakfast, I could make it back in time for the second bell.” ……. said Ryan Glassmeyer

About Flight Outfitters:
Ever since he heard his grandfather telling stories of his time in a B-24 during World War II, Mark has been fascinated by aviation. Like many pilots, he took a few lessons as a kid, but had to give up training when a family and career came along. After a 25-year break, Mark earned his Private Pilot certificate and now enjoys flying a Cessna 172 and a Citabria for business and pleasure.
During his flight training, Mark couldn’t find a flight bag that met his needs. After a conversation with his flight instructor, he decided to design one that did, and the result was the Flight Outfitters Lift bag. From that single product he and his team have since built one of the most popular brands in aviation. Each of the bags, kneeboards, and accessories in the Flight Outfitters line is driven by Mark’s enthusiasm for flying and making sure that each product can help you “pilot your own adventure.”
