2. Traffic and Driving in Vietnam
Positives:
Rideshare apps like Grab and others are cheap, costing around $1 or a couple of bucks for longer trips.
Negatives:
Traffic is chaotic and dangerous, especially if you’re inexperienced.
Driving a car means paying at least 30% import tax.
Narrow roads are not ideal for big SUVs.
Many foreigners have been involved in accidents; it's risky if you're not careful.
Local drivers do not care if you're a novice.

3. Weather in Vietnam
Positives:
The best weather in Hanoi is during the fall.
The central region is hot but less humid.
Saigon has a more stable (though hot and humid) climate.
Negatives:
Hanoi has turbulent weather, alternating between hot, cold, and humid.
Saigon is consistently hot and humid.
Central Vietnam gets a lot of monsoons during the rainy season.
If you're sensitive to tropical climates, the high humidity and heat may be overwhelming.

4. Cultural Differences
Positives:
Vietnam is slowly adopting more Western values, especially in the South.
Negatives:
The local way of life can be a daily challenge for Westerners.
Adapting to language barriers, customs, and a different way of life is necessary.
