We can all benefit from thinking like an entrepreneur. Not just in our careers, but in all aspects of our lives. But focusing on the career part, I'm here to tell you that you don't have to own your own business to be an entrepreneur. EVERYONE can be an entrepreneur with the right mentality.

So after reading an article from the Harvard Business School on the 10 characteristics of a successful entrepreneur, here's how you can use each of those traits to improve your own career. The 10 characteristics are the following:

1. Curiosity
2. Structured Experimentation
3. Adaptability
4. Decisiveness
5. Team Building
6. Risk Tolerance
7. Comfortable With Failure
8. Persistence
9. Innovation
10. Long-term Focus

The takeaway is this: you can implement an entrepreneur's way of thinking at your job to not only stand out amongst your peers, but to also create value for your companies. Companies reward value creation over anything. Yes, even hard work. And by reward, I mean compensate. And by compensate, I mean more money in your pocket!

So time to change the way you think, and start approaching your 9 to 5 like you would your own business. The entrepreneurial employee is an incredibly valuable piece to any operation. In fact, many top executives got to where they are because they have the mentality of an entrepreneur.
