A New Benchmark for Chinese Carbon - 9Velo Wheelset

Описание к видео A New Benchmark for Chinese Carbon - 9Velo Wheelset

Carbon bike wheels direct from China have a reputation for poor quality, but this set from 9Velo are easily the best wheels I have ever ridden!

Over the years I’ve tried MANY different carbon wheelsets on my road bike, and the majority of them have come directly from manufacturers in China. In many cases, because they tend to be much cheaper than name brand wheelsets from the likes of ENVE and Zipp, you make some sacrifices in quality. But this is NOT the case for these wheels.

I’ve been riding this CD35 lightweight carbon wheelset from 9Velo, since January this year. I’ve clocked up nearly 1000 miles so far, and they have been utterly flawless!

The build quality is absolutely fantastic, with a really robust carbon fibre rim, excellent carbon spokes, and incredible hub design. I’ve been running them tubeless, with 700x28c tyres, and the ride quality is fantastic too.

In this episode, I’ll give you a rundown of the construction and materials used, and try to demonstrate why these wheels have impressed me so much!
