Opal Springs Fish Passage & Hydro Dam on The Crooked River Oregon | Fly Fishing | Steelhead Returns

Описание к видео Opal Springs Fish Passage & Hydro Dam on The Crooked River Oregon | Fly Fishing | Steelhead Returns

Exploring the Lower Crooked River and Opal Springs area after learning about the history that the Opal Spring has played in the Northern Central Oregon area. The Opal Springs hydro dam has recently completed the installation of an anadromous fish passage allowing migratory fish like Steelhead and Salmon to return to the Crooked river for spawning.

I also take some time to do some fly fishing on the downstream side of the dam, check out their stock tank of trout, soak up the stunning Opal Spring coming out of the Gorge wall, and a quick look at the new Opal Springs Fish Passage. To me-this place is truly amazing, beauty in its own way deep in the canyon. I am excited to see what this next year brings us in the way of steelhead and salmon returning. If you decide to visit, please respect this area and property.
