Exploring the Nature Coast State Trail, FL

Описание к видео Exploring the Nature Coast State Trail, FL

The Nature Coast State Trail is a rail-trail in northwest Florida. It didn't impress me much. Half the trail is shaded with densely forested areas and the other half is not. I started my ride in downtown Chiefland, rode northwest to Cross City, then turned back. Along the way I didn't see a single restroom, not even a porta-potty. The trail is totally paved and well maintained with plenty covered benches, but nothing else. Most of the trail parallels US 98 or some other roads. The only thing I can say I really liked about the trail was passing over the Suwannee River. Other than that, there wasn't anything else to see. I ate and went to the restroom at the Dairy Queen in Cross City. I recommend you take plenty of water since there is nowhere to buy anything unless you get off the trail. There is another leg of the trail I did not take; it goes east and parallels SR 26 and ends in Trenton, FL.
