Today we’re exploring the Breitling Chronomat 44 GMT watch. It is a very robust watch at 44 mm across the case from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock, 17.5 mm thick and 54 mm from lug to lug.

If your wrist is 6 1/3”, 16 cm in circumference, this is probably as small of a wrist that can accommodate this watch, taking into account visual proportion.

The watch comes on a very supple, 5-link pilot bracelet. It’s a heavy watch — two-tone, largely steel with a deep case and a solid steel caseback. The bracelet features enough of a counterweighting mass in the clasp and the underside of the bracelet that the watch doesn’t have a tendency to move on the wrist.

The watch features a high quality Breitling clasp single swing arm deployant with a golden Breitling wing logo and secure clamshell.

The case is finished in high polish in exceptional condition and is nicely matched with a golden digital style Breitling chronomat bezel.

This watch is less about the utility and more about the rich personality brought about by the sunburst blue with a combination of sunburst outer and etched matte blue inner. There is a nice visual transition from the bezel to the tachymetric scale that runs down to the hour track.

All indeces are polished, rose-gold-plated and illumed so you can easily see this watch in low, or no light.

The watch features the Breitling in-house chronograph Calibre B04 with 70-hour power reserve, column wheel, vertical clutch chronograph movement.

This is a handsome watch that pays remarkable attention to detail.
