Say Aphasia is a charity with many chapters in the UK. It was started by Colin Lyall who developed aphasia and underwent speech therapy for over one year. He and a number of Ambassadors started Say Aphasia which is a local "drop-in." They have weekly meetings where there is a conversation group and many other activities too numerous to mention.
In this video, Moshe Mark Ittleman, M.S., CCC/SLP discusses his original Teaching of Talking Method which is a method that helps improve or return the person with aphasia to better talking or the ability to speak again. In this video, he demonstrates some of the ways he uses speech therapy to help improve talking for those with aphasia. As you can see there are many types of aphasia that are quite different from one another and require differing approaches. We hope you like the video.
The last video in the clip (profound aphasia) requires that you listen very closely. (maybe with earphones, as the volume in the last clip was not like the other clips.)
