How to Give a Presentation About a Product

I was asked a little while ago about how to give a presentation about a product. In particular, how to give a presentation about shampoo. Giving a presentation about a product is an important thing to know how to do because you are likely to use this skill when also talking about yourself or your ideas. The key thing to remember is that you have to focus on benefits to your target audience and not only on the features of the product.

For example, if it’s shampoo that doesn’t make you cry, then that is a feature. The benefit is that if you’re a parent, it will be much more comfortable for your child if the shampoo doesn’t sting his or her eyes. (Of course, that no tears shampoo is actually pretty nasty so it’s best to avoid it, but anyway.)
