Slovenian Mountain Trail - A Virtual Tour | Google Earth 3D + GPS Route + Huts + Stamps + Towns

In 2023, I hiked the complete Slovenian Mountain Trail in 32 days, it was a fantastic experience and one that I will look back on for the rest of my life.

One resource that I felt I really would have benefitted from would have been some kind of Google Earth 3D virtual tour to help understand the elevation and terrain in the days ahead of me. As far as I could tell it didn't exist, so I went ahead and made it myself, here it is!

I have used the GPX file for the trail from the Alpine Association of Slovenia (https://mapzs.pzs.si/path/32778?lang=en) and manually added all of the mountain huts, stamp locations and towns along the way as place-markers. Please excuse the jittery camera, Google Earth has its limitations.

The Google Earth 3D data is surprisingly accurate throughout so this really can be used as a representative guide - the only exception is the actual peak of Triglav which is not represented well at all annoyingly, as well as the peak of Jezerska Kočna.
