After the Pewdiepie vs T-Series war in 2018 and 2019, T-Series made history on May 29th, 2019 to become the first youtube channel to hit 100 Million subscribers. Pewdiepie following closely behind also made history to become the 1st Youtuber to hit 100 Million subscribers on August 25th, 2019. They were the only 2 channels over 100 Million before Cocomelon hit it in December 2020. 5 more channels have hit 100 Million since then, and there will be more within the next year or two. After hitting 100 Million subscribers in July 2022, MrBeast is rapidly approaching T-Series already at 170 Million and could potentially become the most subscribed youtube channel.
