The Extempore platform is commonly known for its application in presentational and interpersonal methods of assessment; however, its versatility extends to interpretive reading and listening assessments. In this webinar, we will review key aspects of effective reading and listening comprehension questions, and demonstrate how to make high-quality interpretive assessments on Extempore. Examples for novice and intermediate learners will be provided.


Florencia Henshaw has a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Teacher Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she is now the Director of Advanced Spanish. She is an award-winning educator who has published and presented nationally and internationally on technology integration and research-based pedagogical practices.
