Budget Xiaomi Smartwatch Reviewed | The $40 Haylou RT Watch

Reviewing the Xiaomi Haylou RT LS05S, a budget smartwatch costing just $40 online, with full fitness tracking, notifications support and other smart watch features. I've been testing the Haylou LS05S (follow-up to the Solar LS05) for a week now and it's certainly limited in areas, but boasts solid battery life for the price.

Like most cheap options, your fitness tracking smarts are rather basic, although the heart rate monitoring seemed to work well. The Haylou RT is IP68 and looks slick for an affordable smartwatch, although that 1.28-inch TFT screen is most definitely cost effective. Still, the simple UI is easy to get to grips with and this Xiaomi device does the basics just fine.

My major gripes were the iffy connection with the Haylou Fun app, and the fact that the LS05S didn't seem to want to share my stats. The watch face selection is also rather sparse, although you can create your own.
