Tools Needed:
Ratchet
Extension
7mm Socket
Scan Tool

This video shows you how to remove and replace a coil on your F150. The process is similar for all engines of this type.

Remove the pigtail connector on top of the coil, then remove the 7mm bolt that holds the coil in place. Remove the coil and repeat steps as needed.

If you do not have an additional coil, you can use the scan tool to diagnose which cylinder has a miss fire. And switch coils. If the miss fire code moves with the movement of the coil. It is determined a new coil is required.
