12 Willows Press invites writers and artists to submit their work for Echoes in the Fog: Reflections on the Liminal Spaces of Maine’s Coast, our third annual charity anthology. This collection explores the shifting landscapes of Maine’s coastline—where the sea meets the shore, where isolation meets connection, and where reality blurs into the surreal.

Submission Details:

Open to fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and black-and-white artwork
Up to 2,500 words for prose | Up to 3 poems or illustrations
Previously published material is acceptable
Deadline: April 30, 2025

All submissions will be considered for the Bangor Authors’ Writing Awards, and $1 from every book sold will support Maine’s coastal conservation efforts.
