Steve Stein's Hollywood Products Celebrity PRE-OSCARS Gifting Suite 2025, was another big success at Lucid Motors in Beverly Hills. This invitation- only, celebrity annual event is being recognized as one of the hottest gifting suites in showbiz, and in the entire Gifting Suite market!
Since February of 2009- that's over 16 years that Steve has been bringing the "Product Hollywood USA Experience" to people, celebrities, businesses, vendors, and VIPS!
Steve is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Product Hollywood. In the below photo our Entertainment Today TV Show Host: Margie Rey interviews Steve Stein:
There were some big coincidences with Steve going back almost 40 years ago! First we both have the same first name. We first met at the Governor’s Ball-which is the Official after-party and black-tie dinner gala that is held immediately after the Academy Awards.
This was when the Oscars were held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in downtown Los Angeles. I had arranged tickets for some guests of mine, and I had met Steve at the Governor’s Ball through a friend of mine: The late Paul Walton, who was the founder of residential Sprint, and Hotel Owner of The Castle Creek Inn, Resort and golf course in Escondido, California.
Steve, Paul and I had met for the first time on this special Oscar evening, when we were literally having dinner at Clint Eastwood's table!
Paul had run out of film on his camera, so he asked me if I could take a photo of him and Clint Eastwood on my camera, so I was happy to oblige Paul. That was back in the day before cell phones - so you would have to develop the film and print out the photos. So it took awhile to finally get your photos back from the photo shop. So Paul had his Sister Ellie call me - to get Paul's photo back from me ASAP. No immediate photo gratification back then, and no JPGs to send them to people from your cell phone, or even a computer. So when I got the photos back from the photo store- I mailed it to him, and we had been friends ever since.
However, after that Oscars Gala night I had not seen Steve until so many years afterwards- when Paul was selling his hotel- and I was there to help promote the sale and live Auction on my TV show: Entertainment & Sports Today. When I was there in Paul's office only for a brief moment - just by coincidence at that brief moment: Steve happened to call Paul on that office's landline phone - which I just happened to overhear- so I had remembered Steve Stein's name from so many years ago at the Oscar's Governor’s Ball! Steve and Paul also of course both remembered that amazing night at the Oscars with Clint Eastwood, and so many other legendary Actors and celebrities. So then Paul said to Steve and I: "well now Steve and Steve you have both now come full circle!"
Many more years passed by and I never saw Steve. So about 3 years ago, Paul had died of a rare Cancer- which was very heartbreaking for me, as Paul's father died only a year before that- at the age of 102 years old, along with 3 other dear friends of mine in the space of about 2 years!
That takes us up to the current day- when at a Pre-Oscar event a PR woman: Diana Kelly the President of DK PR Productions- recognized my Entertainment Today TV Show Host: Margie Rey (who Margie hadn't seen for many years), and then invited us both to another big Pre- Oscar event as VIP guests- the next day, which was the day before the 97 Annual Academy Awards. So after I talked to Diana she told me that Steve Stein was putting on this amazing Pre-Oscar Gift lounge in Beverly Hills- so it took me awhile to remember back about 40 years, and ask myself "was this the same Steve Stein from the Oscars?" Margie made the point that Steve and Stein are both very common names- so the odds are against it after about 4 decades!
However, when I saw Steve at this event the day before the Oscars, right after we both said hello to each other- I said "do you know Paul Walton?" - and a look of surprise and happiness went across Steve's face- and he gave me a gleeful "YES!!" We both could not believe it- what a major coincidence!
So then we shared a lot of old memories, and then Margie interviewed Steve for our Oscar TV Special. It just goes to show you you never know what life may bring you tomorrow!
Then shortly after that, at this same event - another big coincidence was seeing again after so many years - a former Playboy Playmate of the Year, friend of mine, who I first met at a Movie and TV Convention in Dallas, Texas, and then years latter again at the Playboy Wet & Wild Party in Las Vegas, where she Co-hosted with me, for my TV show: Entertainment & Sports Today, and then years after that: this Playboy Playmate of the Year gave me a special VIP tour of Hugh Hefner's fabulous and iconic Playboy Mansion! In the above and below photos Margie is on the left, doing the interview with her:
