Kaiteriteri NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿 - Reuniting with Kiwi Friends in the Abel Tasman | 3 Kids, 197 Countries

Join us as we visit Kaiteriteri - a gorgeous seaside resort in the Tasman Region of New Zealand.

Kaiteriteri is a gateway to the world-renowned tropical paradise Abel Tasman National Park! Just 13 km away from Motueka, this beautiful town is home to scenic views, gently sloping beaches, large tides, and an abundance of local natural attractions.

Our home away from home in Kaiteriteri was right next to the beach. It was humongous with over 12 beds and had all the modern amenities we could ask for!

Since it was raining on the day we arrived to Kaiteriteri, we stayed in and Chloe prepared a yummy homemade dinner. The next day we set out to explore the town, and the first thing we did was visit the gorgeous sandy beach and hike up a hill to a beautiful viewpoint!

We then went out to explore the town of Kaiteriteri. It is quite small, but it has everything you need, including a restaurant, cafe convenience and grocery store. There are also tons of tours available, such as boat tours and bike tours. We ended the day with another amazing homemade dinner - Chicken Cordon Bleu!

We were most excited to be meeting our friends again from Rotorua who we hadn't seen in over a year. The last time we met with them was in Nicaragua and we were looking forward to hanging out with them for the first time in New Zealand - especially because they were going to stay with us for a few days!

On our first day together, we hiked to a place called Split Apple Rock. It is a giant rock in the shape of an apple that has been cut in half. We then went on to another hike to Hawkes Lookout for a completely magical view!

Our next stop was at Te Waikoropupū Springs - the largest freshwater springs in New Zealand. Considered sacred by the Māori, this enchanting underground spring has one of the clearest water pools we have ever seen.

Collingwood was next on our visit list. Walking through this beautiful and quiet mural town felt like traveling back in time. Our last stop before the drive home was at The Mussel Inn for their famous local brew!
