New Gear! Roland MC-707 ambient experimental

So, I have been looking to get a new instrument for my laboratory. I was looking for something that has a lot of functionality in a single box. After much deliberation and a lot of research, I went with a Roland MC-707 "Groovebox". The 707 is a sequencer, synthesizer, drum machine, looper/sampler, mixer, effects processor. It contains the Roland "ZenCore" synthesis engine, which is pretty darn deep. I really wanted something to feed the Roland SP-404 mk2 and the Boss RC-505 mk2 Loopstation, and this thing fits the bill...for not TOO many bills!

If you're familiar with my channel, you probably see that I like common, off the shelf instruments and I use them to do my style of experimenting, which has lots of thick slabs of sonic mushiness. I often use these instruments for styles of music that are typically not what most people use them for. Rest assured! I won't be creating any trance/house bangers, nor the next trap anthem, and you will not be hearing any "Lo-fi instrumental hip hop neats to study to", not that there is ANYTHING wrong with these styles of music....just not what I do.

Things at work have been a HORRORSHOW, so I hope to get a bunch more videos out soon.
