Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will address the Fraternal Order of Police at their fall meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Trump’s sentencing for his hush money conviction has been delayed until after the US election in a significant court victory for the former president.

Trump, 78, was due to be sentenced on September 18, which was itself a postponement from July 11 to take account of the Supreme Court ruling that month, which granted wide-ranging immunity to actions taken by presidents.

At the end of May Trump was found guilty on 34 felony charges for falsifying business records over a $130,000 payment to the porn star Stormy Daniels shortly before his 2016 election victory.
