Leibniz University of Hannover: SmartHeaP – Hearing Aid SoC on Cadence Tensilica

Описание к видео Leibniz University of Hannover: SmartHeaP – Hearing Aid SoC on Cadence Tensilica

Jens Karrenbauer, a Ph.D. candidate of the Institute of Microelectronics Systems from the Leibniz University of Hannover, presents the fabricated mixed signal SoC of the BMBF funded Smart Hearing Aid Processor (SmartHeaP) Project. The developed Hearing Aid SoC, produced in a 22FDX ultra-low power technology, uses a customized Cadence Tensilica Fusion G6 as the central audio processor. To enable Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, a Cadence Tensilica LX7 is included in the SoC. For direct integration into a hearing aid system, two 20-bit ADCs and one DAC are integrated. The presented demonstrator platform is capable of running complex hearing aid algorithms in real-time and is ready to be used in further hearing aid research.
