If you see the warning saying “Airbag System Malfunction” in your Mazda 3, first of all, pay attention to the service bulletin number 08-001/22. In this TSB, Mazda describes the procedure of replacing the old type of harness for front seats’ airbag modules. In cars made between 2019 and 2022, this defective harness could lead to this message popping up intermittently.

In this video, I will tell you about the reasons for this warning and also give you several recommendations on what you can do on your own. There isn’t much of DIY work since it’s a safety system and it’s not something you can easily repair though.
