Health Benefits of Raw Turmeric And Two Amazing Recipes
Today I am sharing with you two raw turmeric recipes. Both the recipes are quick and easy to make. Turmeric powder is the main spice in almost all Indian main course recipes. But when it comes to raw turmeric we hesitate to use it.
But believe me it tastes better in the dishes as compared to dry powder. And also Raw Turmeric is more effective in healing. Raw turmeric has great aroma as compared to powdered one. This is because of the oils present in it. This can add a distinct taste to your food.

Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects, very helpful in solving digestive issues, helps to fight seasonal flus and it also boosts our metabolism.
For better absorption of curcumin, we should add black pepper with turmeric or prepare the recipe with desi cow ghee (clarified butter).

Ingredient List:
For making Raw Turmeric and Makhana Sabzi

1 cup makhana
1 cup fresh curd
3 tbsp. grated raw turmeric
2 tbsp. desi cow ghee
2 cloves
2 green cardamom
2 bay leaves
1 black cardamom
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1 green chili chopped
1 tsp. sendha namak (salt)
1/2 tsp. degi mirch powder
1/2 tsp. coriander powder
1/2 tsp. garam masala

Ingredient List
For making Raw Turmeric Poha

1 cup poha
1 tbsp. grated raw turmeric
1 tsp. sendha namak (salt)
1/4 tsp. black pepper powder
1/2 lemon juice
1 tsp desi ghee
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 Curry leaves
1 green chili chopped
2 tbsp. raw peanuts
2 tbsp. chopped onion
2 tbsp. peas
2 tbsp. carrot chopped
1 tbsp. capsicum chopped
coriander leaves for garnishing
